Good question!
Kinda odd that the alleged gospel writers (well 2) took great pains to track Jesus liniage back to adam but that they should just stop there.
Its not like his siblings were heathen seeing as 2 of them authored books of the NT.
jesus had other siblings and they had kids.
so it,s safe.
to say jesus had nephews, nieces and other extended.

i have a couple of questions about this scripture.. .
1)why wasn't cain mentioned as his first son?
i can't justify 'because he was evil' or some other irrelavent reason.
Check out the link I posted. IMO cain is used as an abject lesson...whatever that means.
If you read the narrative (and watch the video) there was no reason for god to reject cains offering. Cain was the 1st born and he was the one who decided to take his first fruits and offer them to god than able followed suit offering his flock.

Just another opportunity to stick it to cain SMH!
and it does not disappoint.
the first century brothers are on the cover, going door to door with what look like leather messenger bags.. the first article is entitled, are all "christians" christian.
and you can tell by the picture that anyone with a beard or goatee is definitely not a real christian.. the next article, remain in my word has this quote that condemns catholics but seems eerily close to what jws believe:.
Damn they even have the jack bauer bookbags!
i got a copy of the recent kingdom ministry the other day and it reminded me of something in the book the orwellian world of jehovha's witnesses by heather and garry botting.
it's on the front page of the december issue of the km, they have a heading called "not 'alternative' witnessing" where they explain that the term is no longer considered appropriate and "public" witnessing should be used instead.. in the orwellian world of jehovah's witnesses the bottings discuss the importance of the particular language jws use to set themselves apart from other people.
they redefine common words to give them a particular slant, such as "brother", "sister", "literature" and so on.
Bigmac: 40 plus years back---door knocking was called different words----the "effort"---became "rendezvous for service" ( i kid you not!!)
Bigmac I remember that, than they made a big deal NOT to say rendezvous because that can mean an affair or sexual connotation
Shoulda known back than SMDH!
it has been two years since my family stopped attending and being "active".
my daughter is in her 30's settled and teaching with a masters degree she got post her separation and divorce four years ago from a witness, she is remaried and happy.
we just celebrated our first xmas since joining jw in the early 80's.. my wife now has increasing bouts of extreme anger (that border on violence) directed primarily at me for wasting twenty years of her life and causing my daughter to have periodic problems with flashbacks and anxiety.

FWIW this is a stage your wife is going thru just a matter of how long it last.
I will try and find it but there info on this site that talks about the stages people go thru when leaving a cult they range from fear and anger to finally resolve and acceptance.

i am ecstatic to hear that people are attempting something like this.
i have always thought that using marijuana could be likened to using wine as a medicine.
1st and foremost DGP I have not read your complaint with sab.
I would like to comment on your statement:
Drug cartels will see the same thing you see. And then my expectation is that they will not gladly give up a profitable trade.
I think maryJ is different due to the fact it can be so easily produced. A $1000 investment can set up a nice home grow operation.
I dont know if where you live medicianal maryJ is legal but here after they legalized it there were grow supply stores on every corner.

I was talking to my brother about this and he maintains this is the main reason they will not legalize maryJ:
They cant make money off of it!
It goes beyond mere manufacturing and taxation its all the ways the govt and local municipalities can get paid.
Look at it this way the gov/auto makers could virtually eliminate drunk driving if they added a breath-alyzer to all cars. It would work like a kill switch and not allow the car to start till a breath with legal blood alchohol level was blown into device.
The reason they will not add the device is that each DUI brings in at least $10000 in court cost and legal fee's.
Now back to MaryJ they have no QUICK way to determine if a person is high off MaryJ.
